We experienced our first camping weekend together. We met up with my parents and sister. It was interesting at times with the four of us in a tent, but we had a lot of fun.
The shower facilities at the park left a lot to be desired, so we took a drive to Lake Michigan and washed up in the FRIGID water. It was so cold we instantly went numb.
Drew had fun playing in the sand and Ty was fine as long as he wasn't touching the water!
I got a great action shot of Drew playing catch with Nana. We also took advantage of the chance to get everyone together for a big birthday celebration. Evan and Lydia came out for dinner and we celebrated Evan's, Celeste's and Pete's birthdays. Drew really liked the frosting, can you tell?
The only other big news is that we took the leap and moved Drew into his "big-boy" bed. He knows he can get in and out, but so far it has yet to occur to him that he can get up and play with toys when he should be in bed. So the transition has gone extremely well and easy...for now. Next step, moving Ty into Drew's room. Brothers sharing a room, will this promote unity or discord? We shall see!
Pete starts his classes next Monday. We are trying to pack a bunch of fun into this last week we have before the craziness starts. For now, over and out!
Our boys share a room and it's crazy! They are always waking each other up, but I think once Elijah is just a little older (and sleeping through the night) it will be great. They love "talking" to each other and laughing together.
