One activity that our family really enjoys is geocaching. One warm, sunny day - that was supposed to be cool, cloudy and rainy - we set out on an 8 1/2 mile trek for our caching adventure. We were well supplied with water, snacks, jackets, stroller, and all the necessary items for caching. We were not prepared for sun however. The five and a half hours it took us to complete our journey and log all the caches, not to mention watching the airplanes come in and take off since we were near the airport, was too much for us. All five of us had varying degrees of sunburn. Poor Jude had the worst face, Ty his shoulders, and Drew his ears. We attempted to put ointment on Jude's cheeks, but didn't want it rubbed into his eyes, so we bandaged him up. It was so pathetic it was adorable. Moral of the story: add sunscreen to the bag of caching supplies!!

Aw, he looks cute! Did his lil nose burn too or just his cheeks?
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun though....did the boys walk on their own or ride in the stroller? Do you walk on trails or in rocky areas? Sounds like a great way to get exercise! : )
