It's been an interesting week and half, that's for sure. With the boys still getting over their colds, our van still not running, and then getting sick myself, we've been cooped up for awhile.
The boys are, for the most part, healthy. It seems that what I've had is different so I am praying they do not come down with it now. Pete seems to be healthy again, so that is also a good thing. Pete passed his class, so he has a more tolerable schedule again. He also passed his exam for his CDL! This is something he has wanted for a long time but didn't have access to a truck to use for the test.
We hope this will give him more of an edge when looking for jobs upon his graduation. Ty got to take his first bath with his brother this week. I was given a tip by a friend about bath chairs - and I went on a hunt. I found one, and both boys loved it. I think Ty ended up with more of a shower than a bath, but he didn't complain! Drew enjoyed having someone to entertain and Ty proved to be an easy
laugh. That only kept him going more and completely soaked our bathroom! Ty also got to play outside in a snowstorm for the first time. It was snowing really hard, but was still quite warm. I bundled up the boys to play outside while Pete shoveled the driveway. Ty loved it - even when I stuck his hands in the cold, wet snow. Pete buried Drew in snow up to his waist and it was fun to watch him get out. He just flopped forward, using his weight to pack the snow so he could get out. I never would have thought to do that! Drew decided to dress himself this week. He found the hole for his head - and put his head and arms through it. He was so proud of himself - until he got frustrated when it wouldn't stay 'up'. I am making progress at physical therapy. Please pray it continues! Please also pray that we would all be healthy next week and can enjoy a visit from Pete's parents. Pete's dad is still doing about the same. The doctors have narrowed it down to melanoma or sarcoidosis - along with other problems - and we hope to know more after his next appointments on the 9th and 11th. We really appreciate all your prayers on his behalf.
