Spring Break

Last week was Pete's spring break - and it was a busy one. I had my last - yes, last - physical therapy appointment. My hand is not completely healed, but we've done as much as we can with physical therapy. If it gets worse again I'll have to take another course of action, but I have enough use that I can do most things I need to do. My biggest problem is opening tightly closed bottles or jars. If I use it too much it will get sore and weak, so I'm trying to be careful! Pete spent a good portion of his break working on our van. We are hoping to get a spare part from a friend back in the UP since the part we need is no longer sold in parts stores. Ty has learned to push up and is getting quite good at holding rattles and small toys. He's growing so fast! He also rolled over, front to back, for the first time yesterday. What a good birthday gift for Papa! My dad turned 50 yesterday. Happy Birthday Dad! And we have good news about Pete's dad as well. With his last blood tests it showed that the medicines are working to jump start his kidneys. This is what needed to happen in order to pursue treatment for the cancer. Thanks for your prayers. Drew continues to keep us all on our toes. He is such a stinker at times! He has mastered the words cookie and cracker and asks for them at all times of the day. He usually starts with cookie! This week I attempted again to cook my chicken. It was again intercepted by Drew. This time it was not lost, but I did turn around in time to see him run over the chicken with his toy lawn mower. What that boy doesn't think of! Well, for now, over and out!!
