It's been awhile now, but a week and a half ago, the boys had their first sleep-over without Pete and I. They stayed with Uncle Evan and Aunt Lydia while Pete and I celebrated our anniversary. It was the first time away without the boys and it was very nice.
We really enjoyed our time together and explored a museum, the botanical gardens and went out for a nice dinner.
So I got a whole garden of beautiful flowers for our 6th anniversary! :)
We did a lot of fun things over the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. On the down side, both the boys had a problem with the fireworks. Last year Drew liked them, this year, not so much. Ty didn't enjoy them at all either...and loudly voiced his disapproval. But they did seem to enjoy the parade.
Ty had more fun being entertained by Brooke or the sunscreen bottle, but hey...he still had fun. Drew enjoyed running around after the candy, and then promptly threw the candy back at the floats and trucks. I guess throwing candy is more fun than eating it!
Drew is really into balloons lately and has been running around yelling, "Pop! pop! balloon! Pop, pop balloon!" Ty is finally starting to eat some of his veggies. He seemed anti-flavor for the longest time and would gag or throw-up any time he ate anything other than the baby cereal. Progress!! One crazy thing to think about: yesterday both Drew and Ty were wearing size 18 month outfits. Ha, yes, Ty's was a little big on him, but still a crazy fact! For now, Over and Out!
