A lot has happened in the last two weeks - but they have been quite enjoyable. Ty weighed in at a whopping 19 1/2 lbs at his nine month check up. Way ahead of what his big brother was! The doctor expressed some concern at the fact he is not mobile yet; but I think it's just his personality. He is so happy anywhere you put him, he isn't motivated to move! Even with toys and his nuk just out of reach, he's content to just lay there. He seems to be working on more teeth, but nothing has popped through yet.

Drew is picking up new things left and right. I never thought that the words "cinnamon" and "elephant" would sound the same, but they do. It's a bit frustrating at times how some words sound just like something completely different. On our walk the other day I wished I had a recorder to tape some of his conversation. "Mommy, truck. Go Go. Funny (laughs). One two. One two. One two. Rawrr! Ty Ty, nuk. Go? Car, car, truck. Go? Water? Fishy? One two. One two. Airplane! Airplane. There! Sky? Birdie. Tweet-tweet!" For about an hour, that's about all we heard...it was amusing.

We have been doing quite a bit of biking, with Pete pulling the boys in the trailer. We discovered a nice bike trail that circles the town we live in. Parts are on the side of roads, parts are on paved trails along the river - it's a nice ride. We saw parts of the town we haven't seen before.

I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as we have been enjoying ours. It seems to be just flying by. Take time to enjoy the little things - for Drew, right now, it's forks. Forks are funny and "sweeeeeet". Especially when they are full of fruit! ;) Over and Out!

  1. Love the new look of the blog ( I went and updated my look too after I saw how cute yours was). Your boys are growing up so fast, it's funny how much our boys are alike. Elijah is 21lbs and Jude was NOWHERE near that at the same age. :) I always tell Jude he better be nice because someday Elijah is going to be big enough to beat him up! :) Thanks for keeping us up to date on the blog.
