Into September

Again, we have been keeping a very busy, active lifestyle here in Colorado. We have been out hiking, geocaching, sight seeing, exploring parks, picnicking, and hitting the occasional museum. We met some friends we haven't seen in about five years for dinner in Denver. This pictures were taken by them as the kids enjoyed the water at a new park/playground near the restaurant. We ate at a restaurant featured on the Travel Channel - and the food was good. We hope to go back there again - especially since the little kiddos got to eat for free. Maybe we should go back before Ty's Birthday in October? :) Jude was all about the water. He didn't care how wet he got, what was in his way, or even when it started to get cool. Ty was a bit more reserved, preferring to imitate the others or to carry little bottle cap fulls of water over to wet our feet. Drew was all over the place, and the way the park is constructed, he disappeared from view so many times. He was in and out of the water, climbing, sliding, hiding and he sure slept hard that night!! School started here a few weeks ago, but I am waiting until after Labor Day to start with Drew. He is not looking forward to it; I am a little nervous as to how it will go. He is so strong-willed and active; I don't want to fight him every day.

Jude has picked up on a few words, and loves to run around the house yelling "Beetoe!" Drew and Ty are very alert in the car, yelling each time they find a "Beetle", "Carnival" (convertible - I can't correct them!), truck with no trailer, car with TWO smokes (exhaust pipes), motorcycle, unusually colored vehicle, van just like ours...those are the most popular exclamations. Anyway, Drew is "glad I moved to Colorado cuz I can see LOTS of Beetles here!" Apparently Jude is too.

Ty's new favorite word is 'beautiful'. Anything can be beautiful. While it's flattering when he is talking to me; he'll turn around and use it on who knows what?!?!
